Pre, Mid, Post Trib (Tribulation)
Pre-Trib: means that Christians will be raptured before the Great Tribulations starts. Biblically, scripture does not support this belief in pre-tribulation.
Mid-Trib: means Christians will be raptured during the Great Tribulations. Biblically, scripture does not support this belief in mid-tribulation.
Post Trib: means Christians will be raptured at the end of the Great Tribulation culminating with the Second Coming of Jesus. Scripture support this several times throughout both Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Which is taught in the Bible? Simply put…. Post-Trib [Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Cor. 15:52]
The Great Tribulations
The time period where judgments and destruction will take place on the earth just prior to Jesus’ Triumph return. It will be orchestrated and release by God lasting three and half years (3.5 yrs). The Great Tribulation is a 3-part Judgment (Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls) with 7 events for each part totaling 21 judgment events. These Judgments get worse as they progress in succession with each other. According to Scripture, It seems that the Great Tribulation will begin with the “abomination of desolation” [Matt 24:15] and will end with the Second Coming of Jesus [Matt 24:30] Its interesting to note that the Church (Christians) will be on earth during this time, fully participating under Jesus’ leadership. The Bride of Christ will partner with him in this important historical time. Its our finest hour as the releasing of miracles and a great harvest of souls is captured. Also referred to as the “Day of the Lord” or “Day/Time of Trouble” [Matthew 24:15-26; Mark 13:19-27; Daniel 12:1; Jeremiah 30:7; Zephaniah 1:14-15; Joel 1:15]
Final Judgments
Great White Throne Judgment – is the Official and final judgment for all unbelievers (lost souls). This will be the time when those who willfully choose to reject Christ will be thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire was only meant for the Antichrist, Satan, the false prophets and demons. This is also the time when the “dead” will be judged. Two (2) books will be opened… One: book of deeds, and two: “book of eternal life”. [Rev. 20:11-15] Its interesting to note that the unbelievers or the wicked are storing up treasures of wrath… that must be released… [Romans 2:5-6]
Judgment Seat of Christ - Its is the official and final judgment of Christians (believers). It involves believers giving an account of their lives to Christ. We should not look at the judgment seat of Christ as “God judging our sins”, but rather as God rewarding us for our lives. At the judgment seat of Christ, believers are rewarded based on how faithfully they served & loved Christ and others [ Rm 14:10-12; 2 Cor 5:10]
Signs of the Times
According to Scripture in Matthew 24:4-8, there are 7 majors signs of the times. Jesus urges and commands that we know these signs and wholeheartedly prepare ourselves for such.
- False Christ and Doctrines
- Wars and Rumors of War
- Nation against Nation
- Kingdom and Kingdom
- famines
- pestilences (epidemic of diseases)
- earthquakes (catastrophic seismic activity)
All of these are just the beginning of sorrows/birth pangs. There will be mass hatred, and lawlessness will abound.
